VERSES ABOUT THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD (1)

Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him - Job 13 : 15.

For I was ashamed to request of the king an escort of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the road, because we had spoken to the king, saying, the hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him. So we fasted and entreated our God for this and He answered our prayer - Ezra 8 : 22 - 23.

Jehoshaphat said, O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? - 2 Chronicles 20 : 6.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth - Genesis 1 : 1.

Then Jacob was left alone and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him - Genesis 32 : 24 - 25.

And He said your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel for you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed - Genesis 32 : 28.

But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up that I may show My power in you and that My name may be declared in all the earth - Exodus 9 : 16.

At the command of the Lord they remained encamped and at the command of the Lord they journeyed. They kept the charge of the Lord, at the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses - Numbers 9 : 23.

The Lord is long-suffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation - Numbers 14 : 18.

And when the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord, she lay down under Balaam so Balaam's anger was aroused and he struck the donkey with his staff. Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey and she said to Blaam, what have I done to you that you have struck me these three times - Numbers 22 : 27 - 28.

God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should repent. Has He said and will He not do? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good? Behold I have received a command to bless, He has blessed and I cannot reverse it - Numbers 23 : 19 - 20.

PRAYER FOR BOLDNESS

Now Lord, look on their threats and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and they spoke the word of God with boldness - Acts 4 : 29 - 31.

JEREMIAH 1 : 5 - 9

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I sanctified you, I ordained you a prophet to the nations. Then said I. Ah, Lord God, behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth. But the Lord said to me, do not say, I am a youth, for you shall go to all to whom I send you and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord. Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth and the Lord said to me, behold I have put My words in your mouth - Jeremiah 1 : 5 - 9.

PHILIPPIANS 3 : 13 - 14

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended, but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus - Philippians 3 : 13 - 14.

See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant - Jeremiah 1 : 10.

JOHN 16 : 7 - 9

Nevertheless I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you, but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment, of sin because they do not believe in Me - John 16 : 7 - 9.

VALUEING GOD'S WORK IN YOUR LIFE

An elderly woman had two large pots; each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.
"I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the
way back to your house."

The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?"

"That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them."

"For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table.

Without you being just the way you are, there would not be
this beauty to grace the house."

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.

You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.

SO, to all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!

Place value on how God has created you because you are not a duplicate and no matter how you value yourself, God has created you to give joy and place smile on many faces and don't be ignorant of such opportunity God has given to you today. Be proud of whom you are and how you are.

DEUTERONOMY 28 : 12 - 14

The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heaven to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, you shall be above only and not beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today and are careful to observe them. So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them - Deuteronomy 28 : 12 - 14.
Therefore brethren, let us be good children who always obey the instructions of His Father so that His promises and blessings will rest upon us and our descendants in Jesus name.

COLOSSIANS 3 : 14 - 15

But above all these things put on love, which is the bound of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts to which also you were called in one body and be thankful - Colossians 3 : 14 - 15.
