VERSES ABOUT THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD (1)

Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him - Job 13 : 15.

For I was ashamed to request of the king an escort of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the road, because we had spoken to the king, saying, the hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him. So we fasted and entreated our God for this and He answered our prayer - Ezra 8 : 22 - 23.

Jehoshaphat said, O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? - 2 Chronicles 20 : 6.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth - Genesis 1 : 1.

Then Jacob was left alone and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him - Genesis 32 : 24 - 25.

And He said your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel for you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed - Genesis 32 : 28.

But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up that I may show My power in you and that My name may be declared in all the earth - Exodus 9 : 16.

At the command of the Lord they remained encamped and at the command of the Lord they journeyed. They kept the charge of the Lord, at the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses - Numbers 9 : 23.

The Lord is long-suffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation - Numbers 14 : 18.

And when the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord, she lay down under Balaam so Balaam's anger was aroused and he struck the donkey with his staff. Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey and she said to Blaam, what have I done to you that you have struck me these three times - Numbers 22 : 27 - 28.

God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should repent. Has He said and will He not do? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good? Behold I have received a command to bless, He has blessed and I cannot reverse it - Numbers 23 : 19 - 20.
